I am a business-focused professional, licensed cosmetologist, certified makeup artist and wig maker. I have over 10 years in the fashion multi-media industry. I have understudied with top artist like Reggie Wells (former makeup artist to Oprah Winfrey) and Myrtle Winston (former wig maker for Tina Turner). My expertise includes but not limited to providing exceptional beauty services for people of all sex, race, color and ages. I believe in continuing eduction to stay in the forefront of trends, techniques and products.
I have a true passion for my artistry. Starting my journey very early on with a quick lesson on braiding using hymnal tassels at church from my aunt when I was 6. Followed by my grandmother teaching me how to use marcel irons over a gas stove. And my great aunt extensively teaching me about wigs, extension and over all hair care. Modeling broaden my beauty horizon even more. Starting with using my own face as a canvas as I navigated through the do's and dont's of makeup artistry. Discovering the various genres of beauty, why being familiar with the color wheel is so important and each look is tailored specifically for the individual. I am humbled to contribute my artistry to the various individuals and productions I've created with along the way.
My artistry has appeared on numerous broadcastings for notable networks including CNN, ABC News, ESPN, MSNBC, NBC, Fox News, KSDK Channel 5, KPLR Channel 9, and KETC Channel 11. Magazines and publications such as,“V Magazine”, Harley Davidson Global Inc, “Ebony”, and Town&Style Newszine. I have had the pleasure to create with celebrities like Former NBA athlete Anthony Bonner, olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee, retired baseball coach Tony Larussa, drummer and band leader of ‘The Roots” Quest Love and Sports commentator Bob Costas and a variety of political figures and talent notable to cable networks.
